FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
I am in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Choice PPO, and United Healthcare (Optum). If you are a psychotherapy client, I can bill to your insurance and you are responsible for your deductible and copays. Health insurance can make therapy affordable; however, there are some benefits to utilizing my self pay option. Generally, insurance will not reimburse for coaching or workshops.
What if I don't have insurance/I have other insurance?
If you have other insurance coverage and are a therapy client, I can provide you with paperwork to receive out-of-network reimbursement from your provider. Sessions are $200 per 50 minute session for uninsured/out-of-network clients. Sliding scale rates available pending openings.
What are the benefits to being self pay as opposed to using my insurance?
When you utilize your health insurance for therapy purposes, insurance will need to have access to your medical records which include diagnosis, treatment plans and therapy notes. For privacy reasons, some clients prefer to use self-pay so that they don’t have to share this information. Additional benefits include knowing exactly what the cost is per session and not having to be concerned over claims being denied.
Can you see clients located anywhere?
I am licensed to provide therapy to individuals located anywhere in the state of Illinois. Coaching services and workshops are open to individuals located anywhere.
Are sessions in-person or virtual?
I provide therapy and coaching services exclusively via telehealth, meaning all sessions are conducted virtually via a secure video platform. Workshops vary; see individual postings for details about if a workshop is offered in person or virtually, and reach out to let us know if you’re interested in an offering you’re not yet seeing available.
