Welcome to Root & Branch Parenthood

I’m so glad you’re here. I'm Nikki, a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of Root & Branch Parenthood. My mission is to provide a nurturing sanctuary where individuals and couples can explore what it means to become a parent in our modern culture.

In today's fast-paced world, societal pressures and social media often paint an unrealistic picture of parenthood. I understand the challenges of balancing personal, professional, and familial responsibilities- of wanting to be everything for everyone, while still having space to be yourself. I offer guidance and support to help you navigate this transformative journey with confidence and intentionality.

With over a decade of experience, I specialize in supporting parents, families, and children. My professional background in child welfare has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the impact of our past experiences on our present behaviors and relationships. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can tap into your inner strength and wisdom.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Psychological Services from Northwestern University, as well as a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Additionally, I have advanced training and certifications in various areas, including Fair Play facilitation, Retain Parental Leave Coaching, Birth Story Medicine, and Perinatal Mental Health.

My approach is rooted in attachment theory and trauma-informed practices, with a focus on honoring your unique needs and preferences. I strive toward cultural humility and to ensure my services are inclusive to the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent communities. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your relationship, or your family, I'm here to help you navigate this journey.
